Aye. And the train is late.

And sadly the last train to Currie from the east is 17:57 today

Showers are going pretty much straight East to West through the central belt, hope they get more ENE or we're going to miss em all...

Can I ask if Perth area will still see any of the more persistent showers tonight/tomorrow?  I feel we’re going to end up missing out again.

I'd certainly think so, just as Aberdeen has had fairly substantial showers through today Perth is likely to see plenty more snow too, and some of the heavier stuff right through tomorrow is still modelled to hit around the Tay as well as the Forth.

I'm sure back in 2010/2018 the showers hit the coast and then intensified (orographic lift?) but today does seem the opposite - so far at least

The showers north of the Forth seems to be intensifying the minute they pass Kirkcaldy! You can see why the Falkirk direction is in line for a pasting!

I think something from this lot will line up to pass over us.

The Forth is trolling us. The blob that was due east at Dunbar pretended on the radar it was heading a wee bit south but then kicked due west instead - and broke up for good measure directly east of here. And I'm not exactly impeded by a mountain range snow shadow between here and Haddington

And everything that hits the north Berwick peninsula is dying in a ditch

The showers are running in a SE to NW direction that isn’t helping us and to be fair it was forecast to do so about 4 days ago.

Edinburgh misses out sadly

I wonder if it's to do with the position of the convergence line - I think it's still a little bit north of Edinburgh so perhaps the convection is getting 'sucked' into that for now. I did notice the shower at Cumbernauld was also notably light, although there's some red stuff on the radar in the Forth that I think might just track down the M8...

It does seem that the next shower and the blobs behind are perking up, so fingers crossed!

This stuff is interesting me considerably. Only Euro 4 picked this up. I expect waves like this over the next 30 hours or so which affects Tayside much more and fife, however there will be a a steadier stream of showers moving into Fife and Central belt by later this evening.

We had that after you did I think.  ( I was in the middle of preparing tea)   I would say it was the heaviest of this 'event' so far.   It was heaving down and has deposited a little over a cm.
