It is in Los Angeles and the game has just kicked off. Come on Tampa Bayyyyyy!

Nope, they’re playing at Tampa Bay, Bucs are the first team in NFL history to play in a Super Bowl at their home stadium. Obviously working to Brady & Gronk’s advantage at they’re in the lead.

edit: oops location already stated numerous times ??‍♀️

In weather news, currently -0.5c/-1.9c and according to radar, showers still passing thru but I’m watching the game from my bed so not moving to check behind the curtains

id love to go to a game, going to go in next 3 years, maybe combine it with trip to vegas now they have a franchise.

I've been to a couple of games in Tampa plus three at Wembley, two of which had the Patriots there with Brady at the wheel. I met him at their training ground in London and he had real presence.

Tampa look to me to have this for the taking.

Radar still looking good, although showers dying a bit the further south/west they get so far, KC a bit less so...

The Scotland thread is also a bit less, ehm, strictly policed, as far as allowing things that are fine but maybe off topic, compared to the old MT, so I think the odd NFl post at 1am isn't going to end up too badly

Not here, not snowing.

(did I mention that the pitch-side temperature at one of the games I went to in Florida was 110deg.F, which is quite interesting, weather-wise)

Somewhat related, but what beers are we on tonight? I got a wee shipment of Augustiners (my beer of choice out in Innsbruck, I really miss it sometimes), but on Bitter and Twisted at the moment (one of the favourites from my local, which ironically I'm just as sentimental about at this point ).

I had three bottles of assorted Orkney Brewery beers left over from the 6 Nations element of the weekend. Highly recommended, the Orkney ales. Also now finished. I'm moving on to Auchentoshan American Oak single malt whisky for the third quarter. I may not see the fourth quarter...

Good stuff, I may crack open the single malt I've got here after this one too.

The lamp post check was sadly as worthwhile as the KC offensive line tonight

Another heavy one on here now. Doing better with the snow than KC are with the ball. Anyway enough for me. Night.

Bramble gin is sliding down nicely here, enjoyed the half time show too. Now to see what KC can answer back with but I’m backing the Bucs.

No snow currently falling according to the lamppost outside daughter’s bedroom...just to keep the weather element going.

Mahomes and maybe Rodgers (well also Brady) are the only folk I'd bother to keep watching this game for, but it's still possible so I'll crack open another drink (plus I do think there's another shower incoming, finally).

Tbh I don’t know much about them, I’m a Seahawks fan and we didn’t make it past wildcard weekend. However, KC are just making mistake after mistake, they’re like rabbits caught in the headlights.

Heaviest shower yet... Wow if we could get a few of these to link up and a couple of hours would get some good depth

Dropping to -1C here, finally snowing with a wee bit of conviction.

Empty fridge, now drinking grapefruit infused beer. Called Elvis Juice. Weirdly no bad at all. No sure if my judgements sound though. Anyway stock up fellow members don't rely on yer daughters citrus beers to see you through the winter.
