We’ve had few showers here today but nothing really lying, the temperature has went back up to 1c again

Heaviest the snows been since it started late Wednesday.

The road was almost clear 10 minutes ago.

More frequent, heavier snow on now.  I drove to Ellon earlier (recycling centre) and there was some graupel.  Much less snow than here but glad to hear it is popping up there too now!

Same age as my 'little' brother and sharing a hobby with him...he also likes to play with scooters. I'm the technology person of the family, should have been a boy really 

Back to the weather, another decent shower of graupel falling here now, depths will build up quickly at this rate.

The rugby is good. Wales looked surprisingly competent early on but Ireland, despite or is it because of having an 84 year old stand off, are now controlling the game. Stamina will decide who wins, and I don't care who it is as long as it's not Wales.

Why not get a set of wheels (second hand?) with winter tyres for it? Or snow + mud if you are off-road a lot. I've got a set of 'all seasons' on some alloys for the winter which are not full winter, but manage the snaw/rain/cauld/mild of Scotland in winter, and a set of full on sports summers alloys. Can swap them myself one by one with a regular jack.

As for the rugby, I got an Irish passport so I could support a team that wins stuff sometimes. As soon as I did that, Scotland qualified for the Euros and then won the Calcutta cup at twickenham.

This view from walking Finn earlier sums up the conditions here. Snow above 300m from days and days ago, but today's light snow/snizzle only dusting lower down surfaces, although it is everywhere. Max daytime temp today of -0.4C, now -0.6C. Radar suggests northerly component in the track of the showers which was a straight easterly earlier.

It’s dinging down in Newburgh so can only imagine how heavy it is inland. Looks to be some heavy precip now showing on the radar Mon the snow

The few showers we were getting  have disappeared...still cold though currently reading -0.2deg/C.

Here's the culprit...hee haw snaw for Fife in this radar snap the streamers are all to the north.

Heavier snow showers been moving through now - readily settling - and radar looks good for tonight

Marginality issues appear to be behind us now - a couple of interesting days ahead.

Had a horrendously difficult climb. Took 3 hours to ascend only 350m (7km). Snow was just so deep and gave way with EVERY step. (Could have done with snow crampons) 

Very similar to what LS posted, 4/5 feet fence posts and gates were made to look miniature. I shall be taking a sledge (and eventually skis) to any future climb as would have been outrageous fun. Got a wee slide as per last video:

Weather station reading 0.7C now, been sat at 1.3C most of the day. Been snow grains most of the day but not amounting to more than some mini drifts in corners of the garden and some on the grass. Keeping an eye on those heavier showers in the North Sea, slowly creeping south...

Starting to looking interesting for the Lothians through to Glasgow with the way the next line of convection is lining up, looks pretty heavy and a bit larger than what we've seen at this latitude so far. Very light graupel here at the moment

Here as the cloud broke the wind backed round towards the NE (clouds now moving ENE to WSW) which is not quite a good direction for me though may help South of the river and later maybe Edinburgh. We will see soon as the showers are just to our NE now.

Just a small dusting in Stoney this far. The bigger showers seem to be missing us a few miles to the North or South & we get the tail end, although looking at the radar, the North sea looks chokka block with showers. Will be keeping an eye out on the radar, so when a heavy shower is approaching, the dog will be getting some exercise, i don't mind getting covered, don't tell the dog though.

Yep, snow back on here and looks like a line of showers now forming in the North Sea - hope they can pep up a bit then we might get a decent covering overnight !

Certainly look to be creeping south so hopefully they will arrive later on. Last couple of showers have started lying more widely, road looking white now whereas earlier it was just melting. Good sign for later.
