Given the isobars being so clustered id be surprised if there aren't troughs that develop in that flow with more organised bands of snow pushing well inland but they wont be modelled until nearer the time id guess although those 'barbed' trough lines are already on the 120 faxes as Kirkcaldy mentions above ... 

 

More SE in direction on the 12z even on the meto, I’ve seen it so many times you’ll watch the showers passing to the North and we end up with just flurries and not that far up in fife they have 6 inches, Edinburgh definitely needs the wind to be ENE

As I suspected would happen -

by telling you guys that it was snowing and settling.....

Temperature 0.6C

Snow on the ground rapidly vanishing, and nothing falling out of the sky.
