I just went out for petrol and it really is horrible. Still the odd flake mixed in.

Kids reporting snow falling at home but not settling.

Still just light flakes blowing in what is a very cold wind. That’s despite now being under a brighter colour on the radar.

Heavier precip beginning to move in here, it's pretty much sleet so far - bursts of snow and then bursts of rain.

Heavier snow here now with bigger flakes. Still no real sign of it lying.

Does look like some very heavy stuff moving northwards at the moment particularly south of Glasgow, you'd imagine that would do something to lower the temperature enough for proper snow to 100m or so but could do with a break in the wind ideally since that's keeping temperatures up a bit even as far west as here. That should come tomorrow, but for now we'll just have to deal with it.

Gone from 1.9 to 1.8c to 1.7 and back up to 1.9 again within an hour.  Kinda boring!

1.1 / 0.1 at home so it's gone down a wee bit under the heavy stuff.

Report from School / AKA home, reports heavy snow but not lying still.

Same here now and the temp is continuing to fall - it looks as if it could settle if it becomes a bit heavier as it is sticking to surfaces for a bit before melting.
