Met office going with heavy rain, sleet and light snow everyday from now until Sunday, complete frenzy, most interesting week since the beast of 2018

I wished I still lived in Dundee looking at the models. Endless snow for a week away from coastal area along the East coast, yeh jammy Bs!

Only person to ever say they wished they still lived in dundee

but yeh it’s an interesting set up. East coast with a little bit of elevation looks good, as does a lot of places

6z runs all moving the mild air much further north for the middle of this week. Looks like more easterly muck here unfortunately.

Wouldn't worry about the GFS 6z. It's the worst performing run of the day.

A pity as I doubt @AFC Snowwould be complaining about this if it happened.....

I'd be trying to see if the snowblower I inherited with the house actually works.

Yes, the weekend onwards looks better for here. Thursday looks dodgy in terms of cold rain. Fingers crossed.

That warning is only for 2 hours. How much snow do they think will fall in that time?

These MetOffice warnings where they warn of snow “away from eastern coastal districts” always has me wondering if I’m included in that area!? Technically we aren’t on the East Coast, we are further inland but we are still fairly close to the Forth and only at 50m.

This warning for midweek warns of snow away from eastern coastal districts, yet our text warning mentions rain and sleet with snow on high ground. Confusing.

We are a couple of miles outside of the yellow warning so expecting rain or sleet, but it was only a few weeks ago we got three inches of snow from a frontal event while areas further east got a lot less.

Theres a tremendous amount of uncertainty Thursday onwards.
