Yes - great post.

Looking really good at the moment - snow window from today through to Sunday with regards to showers/streamers! These pushing well inland at times. 

-6 850HPA temperature through today and then into tonight -7! 
Overnight and then Saturday -8 makes an appearance.

Few other snow parameters all very promising for sea level fun and games!

Morning all from a very greyish looking Skye! Roads ... grey, sky .... palest blue and grey .... shoreline ....various shades of brown and grey .... hills ... greenish grey. So damned boring! At least it's calm and dry so I suppose that's a plus. Current temp 1.9c. Oh, for something to liven up the dreariest of weather!

Temperature is 0.8/0.1C and with nearly 5mm of precipitation since midnight we have..... a mere dusting of wet snow.

Morning all, was about to post about Aberdeenshire Permagloom, looked up and out the window to see snow falling which I wasn’t expecting! Doubt very much it’ll come to anything, currently 2.0c with DP of 0.5c.

And as quick as it started, it’s stopped again *sigh*

Decent morning. Still just below freezing and snow cover significantly compacted but now frozen. Quick check of the charts suggests good potential out west and some charts even had a different small feature or other teasing the rest of the Central Belt between now and Monday.

Carbon copy of yesterday so far.

Currently 1.7c, light to fresh winds and rain - though you get brief periods of snow mixed into it.

Not a hope of anything lying as the ground is utterly saturated.

Unsurprisingly the deluge yesterday caused some localised flooding further north...

Caught a couple of showers overnight. A wet sleety mix that has frozen into solid ice. No apparent thaw yet. Some nice winter sun and clear skies this morning.

I nearly 'liked' this post then realised that would make me a bit of a hypocrite

I seem to have been in the sweet spot this morning as there's a couple of cm on the driveway that accumulated since around 8:30am. If you can see the red dot that's roughly our house and the band of snow has headed SE right over us for nearly 2 hrs. It was impressively heavy at one point, which was very distracting when you are in a Teams call with a pupil.

This morning has seen far more lying snow than yesterday, despite it snowing virtually all day yesterday.

Some sleet/wet snow showers this morning.  Nothing settling.

That has caught my eye for later tomorrow not sure if it is a trough or a front but either way both of the wrf nmm show an increase in snow showers coming in to the west and south west of Scotland then possibly moving into other areas it’s something that will probably change positions til we get to then but will keep watching it

Many are cauld but few are frozen. Not sure why I'm frozen as the minimum temperature here overnight was was only just below freezing at -0.1deg.C, but the rooflights are covered in ice and the patio out back is covered in frost, as I found out when I went on my kite on the way to the bird feeders. I'm now typing whilst standing up, which is a test of my multi-tasking skills.

Temperature 3.8deg.C, humidity 85%, wind 1 to 10mph southeasterly, pressure 990.2hPa rising slowly, there's been 0.2mm of rain today and possibly a bit of sleety stuff, cloud cover is 2/8 and the dew point is at 2deg.C.

Oh that looks quite tasty! Further to this (and this may not work!), someone posted latest short range models take on snow for next 48 hrs in Model Thread - now this is where I try to link the post - hopefully works but if not all looks good for tomorrow evening and Sunday (especially the ARPEGE).

Cold dry start to the day at 2c.Frost coming out of ground today so very soft and muddy. Just got a light hail shower on just now which has come across the Firth from the Black Isle leaving a covering over there. Settled snow level now about 800 feet with hills above that carrying a thick coat of snow. Deep   midwinter.

Precisely why I’m refusing to go outdoors just in case I damage my shoulder further. Hope only your pride was injured
