Heavy snow for past hour here almost 1 inch doesn’t show any signs of abating just below 0c

Rain, rain and more rain here. I couldn't even pretend that it looks like turning to sleet, never mind snaw, because it doesn't. Diablo though, he do say snaw.

Temperature 1.3deg.C, humidity 94%, wind 1 to 6mph northerly, pressure 987.3hPa still dropping like a stone, 10.2mm or rain today and the dew point is at 1deg.C.

Meanwhile, up in Newton Mearns, my daughter reports that it's snawing heavily. Thanks for that.

Light snow here. Lying on cars only. Frustratingly, lack of precipitation now appears to be the issue!

Just back a walk. The problem with working from home and having nothing else to do is that you end up not leaving the house from one day to the next. So, forcing myself out for a walk each evening, in the dark, with a torch! Usual 3 mile route takes me up to 175 metres and it is lying up there, just over a mile outside the village.

Yeah the rain band should reach us in Aberdeen in the next 30 mins - seems cold enough for snow and we have a harsh frost at the moment but I suspect the temp will pick up and any snow will be rain

These were 500m+ the other day, the temps look good enough for snow almost to sea level at Edinburgh, maybe this'll keep @101_North zipped for a while?

interesting that the forecast didn't really call out snow tonight... let's hope they extend the MetO warning area to more of Scotland later!

They talked about snow in the early hours on the forecast earlier
