The snow, didn't manage to cover the road, it turned to rain a lot faster than I was expecting.

It's currently 3.8C here, it's risen 0.8C in the last hour. The snow in the back yard is melting fast, but the thick ice is not shifting yet.

After a night of rain, a mix of sunshine and showers today. The ground is absolutely sodden. Feeling much milder than of late. 
 

Looks like cooling down by mid week. Some further potential then?

Hello! Brand new member here had some cracking snow up here in forth since boxing day and looks like possibly more to come next week?

Bright and breezy. Current temperature 7C. The local hills are still predominantly white, not bad given the slight thaw over the last couple of days 

A rare chance to open the windows and let fresh air in.  Turning cooler again tomorrow.

Nice afternoon for my daily exercise though it is clouding over a bit just recently and the WNW breeze has picked up. A bit wet with slush and wet snow underfoot in my usual walk area so went down by the river. Turned out to be rather muddy down there but pleasant enough. Currently 5C.

Looking up river towards Newburgh and over Invergowrie towards the snow covered Sidlaws.

Rapid thaw up here today. But still bloody cold in that wind.

Although we achieved 4.4C earlier today, the stuff that froze BEFORE the snow arrived, is now exposed and there is slippy ice everywhere.

Yesterday was a nice, serene day which maxed at -0.4c. Today has just been foul. Cold with some heavy rain showers swept in on a bitter wind and treacherous conditions underfoot

@Kirkcaldy Weather The GFS Ensembles are also suggesting the low will rapidly deepen.

GFS, ECM and UKMO all agreeing as to the development it appears..... Weds-Fri is going to be an interesting period of weather for all of Scotland. 

Going to get the pot noodles and tinned mushy peas in.

I'll eat Shuggee's pot noodles and mushy peas for him if that comes off!   As I like neither, It will be an ordeal for me if it does!      A bit breezy and still chilly and grey (with about half an hour of sunshine around lunch) Temps got up to 6.1c.   Everything green outside once more.

Currently  3c / 1.5/ 1009.5mb/ WSW/4.9mph.

Came across this on Twitter, may not lead to anything as plenty of change until Midweek but interesting where we stand so far - as mentioned by others could be potentially another snow event for 3rd week running. Jinxed and Double Jinxed now!!

Yeah this is an interesting and potentially frustrating 48-72 hours of model watching on tap! Flow is too cluttered across the major global models at the moment. I'll say this, the position of the low pressure system on Thursday afternoon (western edge of the North Sea) is favorable for snow. And that's a decent looking upper air profile via the GFS at 6pm on Thursday. No need to worry about 850 temps in this scenario!

And not a bit of trumpian false news, as it was as we scraped 8.0c as a max in the afternoon.

Nice pictures, confirming a very different day to here - we had an erratic succession of showers and a near gale after lunch. Those lentils go a long way.  Sunshine was very limited.

It kind of absorbs the low pressure to the North and deepens rapidly at the same time. Will be interesting to see what transpires.
