About an inch of heavy wet snow from the heavier part of the front, light snow still falling and misty. What a winter this is turning out to be! Trees looking lovely out the back...

I can only imagine the issues with broadband, mobile phone signals etc. that such a dump of snow would cause

Not quite everything has been washed away, so there are still some icy patches hiding under the puddles; otherwise a wash-out and the predictable slush-fest up the hill. Pfft.

Moderate snow with a slight slushy covering. Plenty snow on the higher ground around here and up towards Glasgow based on social media. 
 

Great to see some have done well from this event.

Didn't expect to wake to snow this morning.  It's only a fairly light covering here but considering I nodded off at 1 this morning with it raining outside and miserable looking a pleasant surprise (Bellshill).

So I just got woken by the kids screaming “Dad can we go sledging again?” I said “what on earth are you on about?” “It’s snowing again” they said.

Looked outside and I couldn’t believe my eyes.

 

It was pouring down with rain at 1am when I arrived home at work. Yet another surprise snowfall. Happy days

Going by the lack of posts on the model forum here and on the other side, I suspect the outlook for next week is not as cold as they thought!

Going by your location, I am about 8 miles to the south of you, I have more elevation, but I have just a slushy covering. Shows how fickle these marginal events are.

Temp climbing. Up to 1.5C and everything's getting wetter. Marginal here now, with cover compacting.

Snowing all night by the look of it. Temps constant too 0C -1C. 4-5cm lying. I reckon a few degrees colder and there would have been twice as much at least.....not complaining mind!
