Incredible - spent about five minutes looking at those! Amazing captures.

Sitting here watching the radar as it edges closer to me...will it be drizzle!? sleet!? dusting of snowfall!? Ah the excitement of it all!

Early hours of the morning look interesting - whoever ends up under the heavier precipitation will receive the most white gold.  @Kirkcaldy Weather  good stuff for Kirkcaldy there. (Hopefully not heavy sleet!)

Met Office/UKV snapshots.

Tomorrow evening through to Friday morning could be snowmageddon for parts of the N/NE - risk there of beefy streamers setting up. (Plenty more showing in the timeframes that follow below)

What an interesting weather day...a bloody cold day, from an overnight low of -2.5deg/C it felt like it hovered around freezing point till late afternoon when the temps dropped like a stone, I measured the ground temperature about an hour after the sun went down it was -6.8deg/C the air temp bottomed out at -3.1 deg/C and has been slowly rising to -1.3deg/C now...no cloud to take a reading from today.

I've been watching the snow front advance all evening....the line of traffic cams down from Perth to Gleneagles to Dumblane are the ones to watch the Dunblane cam's are now showing snow the others not yet.

As ever great pictures today...I passed by Loch Leven this afternoon and it looked stunning (note to self keep a camera in the motor)

If it’s any consolation I’ve experienced -7oC and rain - it froze to everything on contact and caused havoc. The weather is certainly a strange thing.

Temp has crept back up to - 1C but despite being under 'precipitation' for a while according to the radar there's no evidence of it at all. Not even@Mair Snawlike cold rain, it just looks frosty/icy still. I'll see how things went when I wake up in the morning but suspecting ill find nothing exciting.

Snow just reached here. Light to moderate but nice fluffy flakes landing immediately. Temp up a notch to -1.8C edit. Think flash spoilt the photo.

@Hawesy must be in with a chance.

Hi all from a very cold Wales with freezing fog and down to - 3.7c its  just ain't cold enuff 4 me I want a 78 blizzard but I can smell it coming soon. Going by the live charts you should be all plastering with snow. Our chance is Friday. I wish you all the best and I'm sure you northerners are getting mild before us down south around Saturday into Sunday but the North East stays in the cold for a while. Lover ly jubilee.. Be back soon when the SSW kicks in.. And it will.

Fizzled out here.... Not sure enough to sledge.... Hopefully another wee burst but looks weak now on radar overhead.
