Even Mrs Mair Snaw is trolling me from the bathroom.. "its raing again" she says then follows it up with a WhatsApp "how come my friends have snaw and we dont"

Rain in Edinburgh , not even sleet

guess we will have to see if later next week the conditions become more favourable but as I’ve said my rule of thumb for easterlies here has always been -10 uppers and were a fair bit away from that just now ..

Similar here except it's my mother constantly going on about how we're favoured here with sea air, how wonderfully mild it is, how lucky we are, endlessly. Grates, dunnit?

I still find it weird that the nearest -10 c uppers to the east are in Mongolia !

Isn't Mongolia one of the driest places on Earth?

Dunno... If so, maybe your mother might like it there?

So Pittenweem didn’t make the shortlist then?

Still falling as snow here but I suspect it might be the last shower falling as snow for a while as it's wetter snow than earlier this morning. Temp is just below at -0.3c.

So different to here. 2.6C and rising.

First walk of 2021. Stayed local and went to the River Cart, which is a 5 minute walk from our front door and then onto Linn Park.

Wouldn’t have been possible without the slip on crampons on our boots. It was extremely icy out there.

I haven't been down there for years, is it possible to walk to Linn Park from Clarkston/Busby ?

Up to 0.7c here. Suspect it won't be long catching up!
