So does anyone know what time Teesside got hit this morning and what’s the radar looking like now?

Happened around an hour or so ago, was nice to watch. Shame there is abit of a break in showers over Teesside now but hopefully not for long

We don’t want that high cloud getting any further north, not sure why there a amber warning further south

To me it looks like it's heading west to east not much northward trajectory but see what happens.

In the meantime definite show machine has fired up this morning!

Also remember folks that showers and disturbances can appear from nowhere in the easterly flow. What the radar looks like now could change within 30 minutes.

Looks like I'm entering a bit of a dry slot.  Time to take the dog out and have an hours break from the radar.  See what it is like later.

Proper snow showers here this morning rather than the graupel and wind is a touch north of east.
Wind picks up during showers and it's quite spectacular but they blow through fast.
Temperature slowly edging down in tenths of a degree and bumps down during showers - 1.9 at about 5am

Morning. We got lucky with the showers in Durham. The wind is stripping a lot though.

Does anyone know whether we're due to have a packed N Sea like E'lies of bygone years at any point so that we all get a decent amount? The kind where a single big shower can lay an inch in no time?

EDIT: Because the N Sea isn't looking great right now near us.

Your never pleased Nick

Winds going more northeast tomorrow always a better direction for us although still could be some big showers around today which may band together . We seem to be following Scotland just a few hours behind and looks what’s happening there

A good covering now with decent snow showers from time to time. Hopefully the showers join together to give some decent amounts.

Yes, the usual me, lol. But, tbf, I'm also aware that some of us really didn't get lucky at all last night, so trying to to work out if we're all going to get some soon.

It’s looking like a classic few days now Nick so would be surprised if everyone doesn’t see something of course some places will do better that others as always

Probably the first time in history Redcar has more snow that Guisborough of course that won’t last long

Accumulations over the last 6 hours. The wind is due to swing around to NE by end of Wednesday which should hopefully give a distribution over the region.

Yeah I have seen it on the odd occasion especially with an easterly, tends to hammer Redcar then fizzle out slightly as it gets to us.

I can't have that though seabreeze, we need to have more than you by the end of the day or I will be proper sulking lol.
