At last. Caught the first shower at 4.30am, high winds and blizzard exactly the same as the beast from the East we all witnessed. Done it once more since, now off for an hours zzzz. Really hope this keeps up today

The radar looks really good all over the region. Looks like one of those great days coming up where you only have to wait 15 minutes between each beefy shower.

Just perused the radar and dare I say it does it look slightly better for the south of the region than the north. No sign of a streamer set up yet. If there was our warnings would go to Amber and they haven't. Still great though.

Id say anything above that line is currently the beefiest showers. But as we know that can change rapidly. Interesting day ahead that's for sure!

Showers too scattered yet.  Could also be a day where you don't get 1 decent hit

This was consistently the scence during 2018...showers to North and south of Newcastle.  Is the case now.

Still early days yet mate, there's plenty time as the day goes on for more organised bands of showers.

So does anyone know what time Teesside got hit this morning and what’s the radar looking like now?

Just go on netweather radar and go back the last couple of hours and you'll be able to see. If you put your postcode in it'll put a marker on the map for you too.

We don’t want that high cloud getting any further north, not sure why there a amber warning further south

That is bad luck right there. The nature of showers I suppose.

My point is...its not luck.. It's a scientific effect.  Need NE wind for showers here
