Presume thats the proper cold air and convective activity you can see kicking in off the coast of Aberdeen so maybe still a while yet guys

Agree mate , we all love the weather , well I’m a winter nutcase but no need to over step the mark like he did that night , i thought he had been hacked at first as had never seen stuff from him like that but was funny

We just need that front head south and to pull in the proper easterly then its all fun and games.

Just found my message where I raised that with mods... that was 7 years ago. Time passes quickly. I questioning his ramping I think, and he ended up saying words to the effect of there were ways of sorting this out and it was a pity I lived so far away.

He was definitely a ramper!!

Back on topic, no snow here yet unfortunately but can't be far off. Showers pepping up off the coast.

Evening, just to let you know that I've hidden some posts, just to keep things on track in here as winter proper gets going

Oh no wonder we hadn’t seen Nick’s tweets on SE/EA for a while. Just kidding.

Are we expecting snow showers to come in off the North Sea tonight? Heavy showers still going here and it’s quite windy!

Good old Nick , he is in the positive room now his day of graft is done, he will be even more positive over the coming hours as it's getting to that time folks, snow showers must be virtually upon us all now.

Faired up a bit here at the moment but I just know the next lot of ppn coming in will be all snow !!

Convection really getting going of the coast in Scotland a sign of things to come. Snowing has just posted the difference between what the Euro4 was predicting and what is actually happening. Convection of the North Sea is always underplayed

Few specks of shower activity now out in the north sea, GFS 18z pushing back the Atlantic and intensifying the cold for earlier in the week - looking great!

From midday tomorrow looks more likely to me but anything in the interim is a bonus.

I'm a miserable, pessimistic bstd. I admit that, made much, much worse by work stress. But when good stuff comes, I jump in with both feet.

We love you mate, need somebody to keep our excitement from over flowing into hysteria.

PS, never let work stress you, that will be there long after you aren't.

This evening a disappointment. snowed a little at 6pm then warmed up again. Snowing a bit now but nothing settling 0.6 degrees. I snow is difficult to forecast but was expecting a covering this evening. Let's see what tomorrow brings!
