Snow inbound here , nothing on the ground yet but that should change in the next 30 mins. Dew point still well below freezing

About cm covering here in Spital Tongues. That's at least falling snow in 4 of the last 7 days for me, (including 3 in Ireland). Hopefully we can keep the ball rolling!

Nice surprising this morning, but shame to see the rest of the system all slip by to our East and South. :/

We had a light covering first thing but the remaining showers are going to miss us, it looks like the coast should do well if temperatures remain low enough.

Heavy wet snow in Redcar currently but unfortunately not laying. Higher elevation will do well.....

Yeah thought it would lay and did for about 5 minutes

Layed in marske high street

Still hammering down in Guisborough, a good 3 inches in parts now.

Roads starting to be closed, impassable in Guisborough, Skelton, Lindale etc.

Definitely unexpected.

Crazy what difference a mile or 2 makes. I live right on the coast just drove a mile inland and it’s a white out. Roads being closed around the area now

Settled now in Guisborough, a little bit of Sleet falling but a really memorable three hours of heavy snow has left us with around 3-4 inches on the ground.

Maybe another surprise from BBC on its way as they are forecasting sleet until 6pm and then heavy snow again from them until 6am tomorrow morning - now that would be interesting but can't see the beeb coming up trumps again.

Definitely 100m above sea level helps, Redcar had rain / sleet today.

Very interesting the forecast on NW for tonight is for some snow , I feel the marginality is disappearing and unless right on the coast will be white tomorrow.
