Dear me NES have you not seen any?

We had all the slush this morning but serious snow falling since about 1pm and whilst it is wet snow it has gave a good covering - will be lethal tonight though when it freezes.

And you are only around 10 mile from me, don't worry mate, good things come to those who wait.

Not a thing mate. It’s been snowing for the past hour but onto wet ground so no chance.

it’s crazy to think 10 mile difference is night and day of snow.

like you said when this wet turns to ice it will be black ice the issue here.

p.s ive been waiting since 2010 since I last saw snow like some have today lol.

It's bizarre, it really is, just a few miles from me, same asl they have been hammered much worse than here.

Yeah 2010 was a year not to be forgotten.

Don't give up yet mate, I still think there is more to come through this winter, the Met office outlook keeps changing so let's keep our fingers and toes crossed.

Let’s hope so mate. At the moment it’s the heaviest snow I’ve had al day, just maybe if this last 20 mins it will give a covering at least.

About 4" here, but looks like we're a bit too far north for the real fun and games as the system has stalled just to the south. Drat.

A few more photos from a stunning day, temperature already down to -1.7c expecting -10c tonight which would be lowest since Dec 2010.

Must be getting colder. It’s putting down the little fine pellets now which is putting down a layer for the rain to land on in 5 mins

Dropped to minus 9.8 here last night and still minus 8. Joint coldest night since a minus 15 in December 2010.

Potentially a significant snow event for the region on Wednesday?

Not sure but just seen it mentioned on local weather, heavy band of rain bumping into the cold weather that will be back over us by midweek.

So long since I've been on here! Weather interesting and in isolation so thought I would have a look.

Living at 143m I'm going to miss out too!
