An inch or so around here, but a lot of slush around too. Managed to get a nice shot of St James' Park at least.

If that really is the snow line than I couldn’t have been any closer.

I was in the green sleety zone all night further north but managed a good covering. Suppose it goes to show how marginal it was. 20 metres down and 1 mile away it was raining.

Verging on heavy at times in Newcastle, looks stunning though. Enjoying the super slow-mo settings a bit too much!

Just back from a great walk around Town Moor in very heavy snow shower, added another half inch.

About an inch and a half here in Ryton but stopped and dripping slowly. However, Beeb forecast on TV showing temps in the region tonight falling to between -6 and -12 deg yikes!

Snow has arrived here now. But this must be because it’s near the end and dragging in the colder air. What a shame it’s now just starting for us.

edit. If it holds up this intensity it might just leave a layer of white which out of this mess will be something of a saviour.

It has been snowing at an insane rate for many hours here, I have no idea how much is lying higher up.
Hovering at about 0.2C lower down so very wet and sticking to everything, but we still have at least 6" that's after 7.8mm melted through gauge before it got light.
