At last NES, really happy you are starting to see some, you have probably been the most patient ( and sensible ) of all of us.

Thanks, It didn't last to long mate but hey least it did snow and not the horrible hail stones rubbish. Our time will come i try not to get hung up on things you cant change just got to hope it does ( more for kids sake... honest ).

I agree mate.

We did well here last night, just hoping everybody else gets a decent spell at some point today.

It's stopped but was nice to see some proper flakes. Still watching that cluster of showers heading towards Durham CLS Newcastle area

Trying to salvage some positivity, winds swinging round to the NE noticeably in to the late evening with multiple areas of convergence.

Really positive about tonight, originally Met had us down for light showers and clear spells, now has snow for all with limited clear spells. That sounds to me like a more compact area of showers.

It’s looking miles better today Phil , showers much slower moving also . Big shower just missed me to the north but plenty more following judging by the satellite. 850’s colder today also so should help

Nothing much here and skies look pretty clear.
I’ve realised I’m quite fickle though. Decided that was the end of my excitement now...until I come on here and now I might have another 24 hours hope in me after all lol.
Need that gap in the radar to close every south Tyneside to bring some more showers though.

Still plenty left to ponder yet, yes the next two days look like the bigger opportunity but met office still has a snow shower for us on Sunday.

Don't think this is just going to end in a whimper, yes it may not be as we all expected but still time and is a darn sight better than previous couple of years.

Have said for a while now that I am sure this colder flow will be with us right through the month and potentially early March so could still be one or two more surprises in the coming weeks

If I was a betting man I would say teesside is going to get hit pretty soon by a big blob of a shower. It's got pinks and reds in it too just hope it doesn't disintegrate as it hits land. Keep me informed guys as it might hit darlo.

I'm working in darlo in the office today.  And can say it's 10x better than back home!

I'm just hoping if we can all get a few inches on the ground it might stick around until early next week.

Looking at the mass of showers up in Northumberland and out to sea, if we still see those there in the evening, then i think we'll be in business further south. Met office backs this up, light showers all day then as soon as the wind changes direction the forecast changes to heavy snow.

You could be right about hartlepool but I still think there is a chance for teesside there maybe even darlo. Wherever it hits could drop a couple of cm's. It looks angry!!
