March and April can be months where extreme variation can occur even on the same day, one minute it is glorious warm sunshine, the next minute it is pelting it down with snow, sleet, rain or hail or a combination of the lot.

Yep, all in all, pretty rubbish.

I will go for the glorious warm sunshine over the other options.

Think they should be a warning out for this wind, it is extremely strong and roads are being blocked, cars stuck from Guisborough over to Whitby / moors etc with large drifts blowing off the fields,

Same in the outskirts of durham

I love the snow but it was a lovely dog walk this morning in the warmer temperature.

I know the temperature didn't reflect it but I actually thought yesterday was the coldest feeling day of all that cold spell, howling freezing cold wind, snow wildly drifting off fields and the wind actually brought trees down where I walk the dog.

Felt tropical outside today compared to what we been used to. Took the kids for a ice cream probably only 10 degrees but felt 20

Aye the car said 10c driving home. Took the bairn out on his bike while I had a brisk walk and ended up with my coat off with just a t shirt on. Very pleasant indeed. A big difference from the -1 high on Saturday and the 1c yesterday.

Felt really pleasant when I walked up to the shop earlier, certainly tropical compared to last week. No snow left apart from a few spots I could see in the distant hills. I love snow but I am looking forward to spring and some warmer weather.

Very dull today and pretty breezy out there too. The north east doesn't look too wet over the next few days

Absolutely glorious the past 2 days. Nice to feel the warmth in the sun now. As much as I am a cold fan in winter, I do love it when the weather starts to warm up. Cold at this time of year is pretty pointless unless it's a 2018 style beast.

Another frosty morning here this morning. Feels bitter out there today compared to recent days and we've had fog rolling in for a time too.

A couple of stories today of more snow this month, any truth in this ?

I can't see it myself but it's possible. As ever elevation will be key. I'm more after the spring warmth now lol

I took my 30s of falling snow, videoed it, and banked it

Didn't realise snow was on the cards today, some quite beefy showers & an icy slush starting to form.

Been on and off last couple of hours & slowly laying on some roofs & grass

Got a dusting of snow here this morning.

Potent northerly looks a real possibility for easter weekend.

Working from home, sunny all day.  17:30 comes round, shorts on straight outside barbie on.  And it’s brutally cold. Clouded over immediately

Yes, came in quite cold and misty at that time didn't it.

Got to say that I am a cold / snow lover,  but only for four months of the year, Nov to Feb, after that I think it is just a waste with the longer days and sun strength etc and who really wants cold weather after today's BBQ weather.

Saying all that it looks like it is coming from Monday onwards.

Hi everyone, a few snow showers passing through tonight apparently, don't think it will be anything to write home about but those higher up may wake up to a covering
