This feels like Bond on the laser table, seemingly impossible to escape, yet he manages it. If we don't catch any of this there needs to be an inquiry!

50 miles further West and we would all have been buried by tonight.

Yeah it’s so close if it had come a couple of hours earlier would of been a direct hit

Northing worse when you can look out to sea and see all the snow and then look west and see the sun.

Sooo close.

Thats it...had enough... buying myself a boat for next year so I can track the snow up the sea and sail back with 2ft falls

Wait!  The bottom edge is developing fast and looks like it might make land around Tyneside and save some slit wrists

As someone said earlier the flakes are that meagre they are defying gravity.

Have to say out & about in the fields the whole snow layer  about 6 inches will easily take off in any high winds & cause drifts

Its going dark and its snowing. Very pleasant surprise. Cant see it amounting to much but very enjoyable to watch all the same.

Its like waving a family member goodbye when they go away. lol.

Wow, that chunk has beefed up some especially for the South of the region, though not sure wind direction will aid further intensification

GFS 6z was interesting the GEM and ECM 12z were interesting last night. Just see what happens over the next few days, don't fancy spring conditions just yet
