Blue skies and sun here personally can’t see anything falling from the sky today.

Looks like the wind and showers make a right hand turn back out to sea

Hi all, bit of a lurker on here so thought it's about time I got registered. Big fan of winter weather and I'm like a big child when it comes to the snow to the annoyance of my Mrs.  I live on the Northumberland coast and it's snowing fairly heavy which it has done for the last hour or so. I seem to have become obsessed with checking this forum and the radar over the last few days. Anyway here's hoping we all get a decent amount of snow in the NE today

Classic! My next bit of optimism: the hole seems to be drifting northwards – snow is making progress up the coast towards Hartlepool

Wind at the moment is skirting around us at the moment, although it starts to sort itself out as the day goes on. That being said, by the time the wind seems to be favourable, the system looks to have moved north

Looks like the main part is heading for eastern Scotland tonight... as if they haven't got enough!

Looking at the winds, I think that's going to go West, via Northumberland, then up into Scotland

Just started snowing here albeit very light

Going through some of the models, it looks like 12-3pm is going to possibly be Newcastle / Sunderland / Durham's chance.

Marginal for Newcastle I reckon. Parts of it look like they’re taking a turn northwards towards Scotland, whilst the bottom half is still swinging westerly.
