Thanks for posting your stats, Eden Valley a cold spot this morning. Shap hit a low of -11 degrees. Here we are on -3 degrees only.

Evidence air is very dry, and sun is stronger now, roofs exposed to it are clear of frost.

Had we some snow, large icicles would have formed, alas it is a green scene with some light white.

We've got a covering of snow, which will have helped, but I'm only a few miles from Shap and the village is surrounded by fells so I think the cold air just collects here. Had we got 62cm like in Northumberland...

Yes there was a light graupel shower here around 6.20am.

There is also a band of light snow showers out to sea which may just skirt the region later, not sure ?

-7 allegedly here. I was out at 9.30 and the car still said -4 despite the bright blue skys and sunshine. The path that was largely clear of snow is now nearly clear and the car has almost lost its cover of snow over the windscreen.

I'll not post the screenshot of my weather app as it's the bad languaged one

Well the BBC forecast has really gone off on one for tomorrow for here.

Heavy snow showers from 8am to 4pm and again from 11pm to 5am Saturday morning - not sure where they are picking that up from, will probs change later today.

I've been stowed off with work this morning so haven't had a chance to check the progress of our low but I've seen the new warning and the forecast above so I'm assuming it's still coming further west.

It would be some event if it came off. Hopefully get a chance to check the charts this evening.

Definitely some potential for tomorrow then going on that met office forecast.

Gfs has some snow clipping the region. Lols better the further north you are.

I've just been checking tomorrow's forecast and only BBC are forecasting snow for Gateshead tomorrow. Cautiously optimistic but I haven't got my hopes up.

Watch the met office video above

GEM probably the most optimistic for our region. I think being in a "sticky out" bit will be beneficial i.e. Whitby, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Aberdeen.
