I've managed to miss so far but hopefully this is indicative of the level of convection setting up for the whole region.

Look at this whopper building, wouldn't be surprised to get a few cracks of thunder.

Mostly graupel here, not sure if its due to elevation, but it certainly looks like the beefier showers are slowly working way South. If Edinburgh was forecast Amber warning when it was passing through there, hopefully we're in for a pasting

South of Durham and teeside should start getting in on the action too by the looks of it. This is a much better wind direction

Morning peeps!

Well, this is much much better, and the radar looks chocker full!

Now need to find my hat if I’m going to eat it!

Are the showers supposed to ease off today?do you think the warnings will be removed for Thursday and Friday?

They will keep the ice warning I think. Showers forecast to ease off later this afternoon/evening

Randomly woke up at half 5 to see a half decent shower pass through here. My internal snow sensor must have kicked in.

As a side note, much better 00z GFS run. Maybe the Met Office were onto something with their long-term outlook. We might get to do it all again in two weeks!

Another shower to hit soon in darlo according to the radar then maybe a little lull of a couple of hours. Looks like good shower activity for our region until about 3pm. Then will die out I think. So our showery cold spell ends today. Remain cold until Friday though i think.

-2 with heavy snow..

Can't complain.   Seems like a glitch in the radar at 5.50

I hope the radar has broke and those showed haven't just vanished! Looks like we got a little bit more snow overnight. Edinburgh is still getting battered.

It's broke. Metoffice does the same so I'm presuming they all pay the metoffice for the data. Realweathers does the same and I know they pay the met. Just starting snowing again CLS

Hopefully broke because it can't compute so much heavy snow coming into the NE

Heavy snow here again.  Feels a bit strange i can't track the showers but makes it a bit more exciting.  Hoping when the radar comes back on there are showers packing in behind.  Be like opening a present on Xmas day lol
