I think that comment is very much imby post, there is a lot of people further south on this forum where this isn’t good at all.

hopefully we are all in the game soon. Enjoy.

That's pretty much the point I've been making. It IS good for Newc and Tyneside, but looking at the region as a whole, sorry, but CURRENTLY it's poor. Not saying it won't improve, but as it stands, nah.

It has broken up a bit, but sill the most impressive band of showers to hit N/S Tyneside so far.   Hammering down here

Agree - it would be canny if you could maintain this line of showers IMBY it could deposit a bit

Hasn't made it here yet, showers moving more slowly tonight which is good. The gritters just been up my street at about 50mph, must be in a rush!

In all honesty I've watched as people around our region have been getting a good covering and under multiple showers. Yet I've been stuck literally in wasteland. There is actually nowt in Chester le street so any of these that hit me I'm gunna enjoy

It will take longer to feed down to us, don't worry mate. We've actually done really well from NE'ly winds in the past, in fact it's my favourite wind direction for Middlesbrough.

Some big showers hitting our Geordie and Mackem friends now. Enjoy!

The showers look to be intensifying upon making landfall now instead of fizzling.

All positive changes.  Looks like the region could do well from this... better late than never!

I love this radar watching when it starts delivering some proper snow porn (IMBY usual  disclaimer)  (Kiss of death usual disclaimer etc, etc)

Heavy snow and graupel shower quite intense id say 7/10. Loving this tonight!

Don't worry southern friends your turn will come I'm sure. The radar is a lot better in terms of beasting up the showers

I'm watching Bullseye on Challenge, it does feel like a real life "here's what you could have won" when my Scottish friends are posting this on Facebook.

I've been getting sent pics from Kent all day and thinking exactly that! And it's a damn sight better than a motor boat!

Anyway, a good hour or two before anything hits Durham south, so might turn in.
