I am keeping the faith, I am keeping the positive mindset, I am still putting all my hopes on the wonderful BBC ( lol ) forecast which is still giving us heavy snow from around 11pm.

Cheers PM.

To be fair I'm getting a bit frustrated now with the fact the showers are dying off slightly lol but I think its because everything is sinking southwards and will pick up again soon.

Let's hope the Beeb are correct for once

No there's nothing to suggest this in the set up we've currently got.

I just been in the garden, the snow is coming down that heavy I could count the number of snowflakes / graupel falling.

I just keep smiling because I know whats coming ( I think lol )

You can swipe what you want if you send 50cm of real snow my way I'd sell me Nana down the Tyne at the minute.

Seems unlikely & I've noticed that app does flip flop & often contradict itself minutecast v hourly forecast.

It does suggest it getting heavier at 2300h up here

So frustrating isn't it.

It can't not happen, it will happen ,the proper snow is coming.

Checked radar for your area & was surprised it did show some green patches.

Then realised it was grass

Patience is a virtue.. sensing much frustration with today, the convection hasn't kicked off (yet) and whilst there has been plenty of precipitation about east of the Pennines, I've yet to see a photo from anyone/or report of more than a cm or two at best.

Hopefully things will change in the coming hours and more meatier snow will develop.

Here we have had the odd flurry, but nothing to be expected. Relying on a streamer really to deliver, or some longer lasting punchy showers. The good thing is the Pennines don't appear to be a barrier as showers have stayed intact once crossed the great divide and on occasion intensified even.

Let's hope all of us this time tomorrow can say at least there is a cover of snow outside however light, cm plus.

We've had probably about an hour now of graupel. Nothing particularly heavy. The line of activity has just budged slightly north of my location for now.

Sorry but this is rubbish. There is actually less activity between the Northumberland streamer and the Teesside streamer (not that either of them are very good) than an hour ago.

I've noticed people keep pushing this back... now it's "nah, it was never due to get going until Monday". Sat pm... then Sunday... then  Sunday evening/night... I'm spotting a pattern.

Can't deny it's rubbish right now. I think I'm going to have a whiskey and see what's happens in an hour or so.

Keep the faith Nick keep the faith

4 inch, I wish, to be fair the grass has had a bit more, but only 1cm accumulated on the damp surfaces

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
