Morning all!

I've been a lurker on here for years, and eventually got around to registering back in 2018 - still didn’t post anything

Anyway, back to today - I’ve been up since 5am (went to bed at 1am) and I’ve been watching the radar since with fingers crossed something would start heading over, but all seems to disappear before it gets here

Hoping for a much better day than the dross that was yesterday. Walking the dogs at 10pm last night wasn’t a pleasant experience!!

Seems all the action is happening in the SE at the moment. Canterbury is getting buried as we speak.

Is it me or is there a little more intensity and frequency in the shower activity showing on the radar now?

Very,very light snow here atm.

Yes, as forecast.

Showers will continue to pep up, perhaps with a brief lull this afternoon.

Far too much negativity in here this morning.

We are all in a good place.  Just let the weather do its thing.  Just because it might not be snowing right now over your house doesn't make this a disappointment or a fail.  Things are just kicking off and loads to be excited about

Well that was disappointing. I'm not sure what forecast people were looking at but, as of Friday, the radars were showing decent levels of snow falling in my location from around 3pm and MetOffice the same. Yesterday morning it was shown as heavy snow from 6pm on radars and forecast. We haven't had anything. So I don't see how it is as forecast?

You sure it’s falling as snow in Redcar albeit very light and I live right next to the sea .

What a let down this cold spell has been so far. As usual a lot of hype for nothing.

I went to sleep around nothing sure than when I wake up everything would we white, I opened the curtains and absolutely nothing. 0. Nada.

Looking at the other regional forum it seems the same happened everywhere...

Calm down, its literally only getting started, no one was forecast deep snow off that band, tbh the quicker it shifted the better as the convection can get get going, which it is now.

Good job we have another 72-96 hours of convective potential then with today being the least convective

Sea breeze interesting , it is now 1.8 c , nothing falling now

Dew point is currently -3 is not even close to marginal. Even the lightest precipitation will be snow now
