I will be happy if the snow does hold off until tomorrow as I am on nights tonight and I hate driving in the snow.

T-1 (SAT 6PM)  rain/sleet stopped - 12 GFS Looking good still - where are the expected snow showers out to sea - nowt showing on radar yet?

Need to get the easterly flow going before we'll see showers forming. The low slipping away south is the trigger that starts the flow, so until that's clear don't expect to see anything other than the frontal stuff we have now. Patience is key here, remember this was never forecast to be "prime time".

Good to read, hoping you’re right and it’s still coming.

Probably worth having a couple of hours off the thread NickR. Crack open a beer and relax.

Aye. Sorry. It's hard to put into words how low and totally burnt out I am generally right now. I've literally just stopped working, having started at 9am. After a ridiculously stressful week too.

What is the timeline for that mate, is it current?

Yep, not sure why says 1200 on timestamp on the v4 radar, but is 15 min delay

Stopped raining on Northumberland coast (amble). Notable drop in temperature as colder air moving in and rain has stopped.

Radar says it should be moderate snow/sleet right now. Just had a look. Pretty much nothing falling from the sky whatsoever. Underwhelming.

People in the Scotland thread saying the radar shows it should be snowing and it's not, whereas others are saying the radar has indicated nothing all day but its never stopped snowing!

Think it’s just rain here too but the council has upgraded the lampposts to LED lights this week so it just makes everything look extremely bright!

Does anyone know how you bring up actual scales on the V8 radar? This is the current dew points, but I'm not sure what each colour represents, same with 850's.

Cheers

I think we all want snow in the end, let’s all keep together. It’s coming...at some point.. the cold air hasn’t arrived yet so things will stay marginal until then. Once snow showers pop up on the radar off shore then we can start to look out the window at the nearest lamp post
