Yes -7 in Hexham first thing this morning. Warmed to -5 now! Lots of snow cover still.

Not more weather warnings to dash the hopes lol.

Sounds like a blink and miss event. Snow to Rain the worst kind.

Wouldn’t even have any time to venture out in it.

Not only that it’s due about 3 in the morning so if it does snow we won’t see it anyway

Local roads are sheer ice, very crunchy under foot. It took 15 minutes to get the car sorted out this morning. -4 still at 9.30. Looking forward to more scenic scenery that snow brings. My kids are sledging still so it's nice and quiet !!!

I am just up the hill from you but in the same style houses. The difference in snow from saltwell park to sheriff hill is amazing.

My general rule is that the worst place to be with snow incoming at 72 hrs is in the sweet spot... because by the time it comes you know you won't be in the sweet spot anymore.

Snow for some tomorrow, this mainly during the early hours and lasting longest over high ground above 250m

Make it 250 ft and you've got yourself a deal, doc... what do you say?

Quite a potent looking front now approaching.

Fairly windy outside now,the existing snow cover probably drifting around up at places like Tow Law.

Imagine if that had all been snow heading our way, as it was going to be.  :'(

In situations like this the best thing I do is watch it back on my cctv fast forward and there you have it you seen snow fall for 10 minutes before turning to rain lol.

Not worth losing sleep over and getting up early lol.

Front Seems to have come in a bit faster. Metoffice originally had me down as cloudy upto 3am then heavy rain. It's now showing snow from 1am til 3am then rain. BBC has snow from 2am until 9am then rain. Temps should be well on the rise by mid morning and any snow that has fallen would be melting fairly quickly

We’re only going to get rain anyway so I’ll pass.
