Can't see any sleet here in Durham. Just tiny ice pellets leaving a crunch underfoot.

I think this is going to fall well short of expectations myself.

I went to bed at midnight last week with rain and woke up to this...

So still got hope

Still feels like rain with a few small flakes in it here. Soaking too, so will take a bit for it to lie, if/when it turns.

Surprised to hear of snow all around me at lower levels too!

Newcastle airport reporting freezing rain. Do they have de-icing equipment there?

Flying home from Minneapolis one year, it was -5 and pouring with rain. It took bloody ages to queue up for and then get the aircraft de-iced.
