To be fair the Meto warning did state that for most it would start out as freezing rain and change to snow so here’s hoping. Been disappointing to date down on the east coast

Still heavy rain with icy bits mixed in.

Just looked at road cameras for places 300m plus and no real sign of snow.

Temp is dropping here, 1.2°c now

Lots of ice pellets falling amongst the rain.

Rather heavy and giving a coating of ice on the ground.

Temperature slowly falling 1°c now

Hey just looked out at my lamp post & there are some dollops of sleet amongst the rain, I've got a feeling we may get lucky tonight at lower levels, there is no wind, temp/dew points look pretty low - bring it on

Sleet here, feels like it's on the turn. Met office forecast reckons it will turn to snow shortly with a good few hours of all snow from midnight... We shall see

As long as winds remain off shore there is every chance, might have to be patient though and it all depends how much PPN there is when the cold air properly undercuts.

Meant to be heavy snow here according to the MO app, but light ice in the rain.  Starting to make patches in the road tho.

My final lookout the window and it's doing nothing. Time for a bit snooze so I can stay awake and watch the snowfall later tonight.

Still just fairly heavy rain here in Ryton. Expecting it to turn quite quickly at some point, seen it all before, heavy rain, watch telly for an hour, check the lamp post again to see everything turned white. Dew points and air temp combination, with some evaporative cooling can combine in a very short space of time to turn things snowy. Bring it on!!

A football game in Scotland has just been abandoned because of heavy ....................................rain..........urgh

Dew points and temperature in Livingston are higher than here though, wouldn't worry too much about that.
