Wonder if this is what the BBC forecast this morning was hinting at.

C.S

Maybe CS. Reports from north and west of Leeds are good. Be a nice final flourish to what has been a disappointing 10 days round these parts.

Same for me, BBC and Met office where saying heavy snow most of the night and light snow all day, completely changed now, don't trust any of them anymore

Morning all.  Nothing overnight in my part of Preston. Driving up the M6 there same story W of the M6 towards the coast, and inland until you hit the Galgate area.  Theres an area of localised heavy snow just South of Lancaster assuming its altitute related, as further N again theres no cover once you get past Lancaster.  Up here between Carnforth and Kendal no snow at all - plenty on the hills to the E of the M6 though.  May take a trip over to Kirkby Lonsdale area tomorrow for my permitted excercise  looks like theres a bit of snow over there

It's gone a bit sleety here at 0.3C. If that heavier stuff makes it, it might turn snowy again.

Not sure think precipitation is so light... more flakes in the wind and sun trying to make an appearance

Wet sleety mix falling steadily now, it's actually melting the overnight dusting we had now temps have risen above 1c.  Some decent cold feeling days in this lengthy post Christmas cold spell...but the falls of snow wouldn't be on my first page of memorables.

So a slight dusting overnight maybe 4 mm which is better than the 3 mm On the 28th. Can’t complain.

Only a dusting but i'll certainly take it after no snow since 2018! Measured 0.3/4mm deep.

Happy for you more than anyone mate!!! With the exception of myself you have certainly suffered over the years (with the exception of March 2013 ) although I have no mercy as you do live in the coast!! But in all seriousness mate congrats! - you deserve it! Now get out there and enjoy it!! B.C.

Thanks! We got zero snow march 2013 btw, was in a rain shadow, got a bit in jan 2013 though.
