20cm. From experience I can tell you 15cm+ up here for almost a week is a good sign for lower levels going forward.

Nothing here in Sale just a dust on grass... 1c not expecting much of the next batch around 6pm.. seems to fade out as soon reaches the Mcr area.. when will be our next chance?

The stuff we have now behind this band isn't of much interest. Localized dustings. Low down you needed precip intensity today. The same amount of precip you had at 400ft would have been much better. Wilmslow got the intensity again, much more normal for this area... finally an event which followed elevation.

Light to moderate marginal showers off the north sea next 48 hours few cm above 200m at night down to 80m in east of the region.

Peaks streamer on Tuesday looks significant this into colder uppers so east of Manchester looks primed.

Yeh, and you're a bit above sea level aren't you? The WRF / ICON nailed it.

About 50/60m. Not much

The band was slightly more intense than I expected!

It was intense, but it wasn’t long lived. It’s almost like it condensed into a squall line like feature overhead and then split energy to the E and W of me

I think these high res factor in longevity when producing intensity forecasts which isn't right.

Just looking on the radar, showers are  re-intensifying nicely as they come out of Manchester

Snowing very nicely now! Hopefully all of the showers can do the same! Unexpected!

I just want one nice day of falling snow that settles and stays for a bit. That’s so rare around here though

Yeah IMBY we ussally do pretty well so im happy if other parts of the region do well, from a Purley selfish point of view it has been rubbish for settling snow here. It would be nice to see some settled snow!

We haven’t done well here since 2013. Even the beast from the east didn’t deliver in 2017 here. Just a dusting

is it a reasonable reason to move house based on snow?

There has been nothing here .. however I walked out of work and there's a few spots of rain. I think here we just don't have the intensity

So great to hear the reports, pics etc.

The walk turned into a sledge and the last 30 mins the snow squall hit...Heavy snow for about 40 mins... caused carnage on the bank (as per every snowfall)...look stunning as stuck to all surfaces (like you said Kasim! haha).  Phone got wet taking pics and vids  so currently won't switch on or charge so on radiator drying out. Will share the pics later.  Good 4 - 5cm of cover.  As much as I want the showers to continue it looks the like temps will slowly rise overnight to above freezing. Would prefer clear skies and frost than light snow and cloud cover with a thaw.

Even the lightest of PPN started as snow here. Costa Del Wirral at it again?
