Radar looks good for South Cheshire ! Enjoy

Cheers Joe, looks like it's dying out over us so not sure much accumulation will occur but this evening sure looks fun...let's hope it expands a bit for more of the region to join in.

BBC weather showing snow showers mid afternoon into the night accross the region BBC weather show an overnight minimum of 0c Meto text says -4c the forecast finished with the presenter saying they could be alot of snow about next weekend but obviously at that range not specific as to where would imagine referring to the low sliding down from the north.

Currently here a few bits of light snow and ice pallets

Thanks! Eased off here now, but we had around 20-30 minutes of moderate snow which has added a dusting, filling in the gaps nicely. We were right on the edge so really got lucky. Fingers crossed for the rest of the region this afternoon. Looking very promising.

WTF just woke up and noticed the temperature rose from -3.2 A few hours ago to 0.0 now and there’s all these showers around but I thought it was supposed to be dry until this afternoon. Weather always does things when you’re not expecting it.

A light dusting of snow from a shower earlier. Supposed to be doing something now but it’s not.

Lightly snowing as the feature over Wales sinks southwards. Interesting to see BBC Weather app going for heavy snow showers much of this evening for my location. We’ll see ❄️☃️

Graupel shower has added to the frost and made everything very white.

Came right out of nowhere.

The stuff from the NE seems to be intensifying.

Warning for Now!
Will any people in the north west change their behaviour as a result of this warning? I think not.

Will that PPN really make it and does it really warrant a warning? Today will be the coldest day of the cold spell so far. So it’s a good time for it to come if it makes it.

It will probably just rain again anyway.

Far too late Met Office!

Just within the warning here. We have a few light snowflakes in the air, the precipitation has broken up so not expecting that much from the band hitting us now. Temperatures rose very quickly last half hour from -1.2 degrees to 0.5 degrees.

Might see a few snow showers on and off through rest of the day and tomorrow.

Surprised HMG hasn’t changed its “do not leave home” tier 4 instruction to “you must go outside and drive whilst the snow is falling and roads are icy”
