Half melted Ice pellets here, will evaporative cooling help, I'll wait and see

Definitely sleety here in Audenshaw like ice pellets. Temp 1.7c. On this occasion though I think I'm going to be too low down at 97m to get any proper snow tonight. Places like Mossley & Saddleworth should get a good cover though.

The snow is just starting to stick on the gardens outside here at 210m but the visibility is fairly low so it won't be until sunrise before I can see where the snowline actually is, although i'm hoping by 3am everywhere will be covered once the evaporative cooling brings the colder layer further down.

ice pellets here. Just needed 2 / 3 degrees colder and it would have been epic.

Wow its snowing in Blackpool and Liverpool yet there's hardly a trace of sleet here, just rain and pellets

According to the radar I am now slap bang under the red echos yet it's barely even any drizzle. Just a spot.

Evaporative cooling is the story.

You may be too far west but id give it half hour mate to let the intensity bring your temperature and snow line down

I’m surprised lol, was t expecting to see snow tonight.

Is it sleety wet snow? It looks like it going by the camera.

Ice pellets here which I thought means that game over more or less but given the reports from Liverpool and Blackpool then there is some hope.
