Very odd, snow has stopped here for the past 20 mins or so, despite being right in the middle of the band of ppn.

Does seem to be some odd radar reports where the radar saying its dry but its snowing heavily and other areas its showing heavy PPN but nothing falling.

Radar shows it literally a mile from me. What's the betting it now goes south again!

Weird one this isn’t it. Intensity isn’t as the radar suggests. Front decaying now. Wouldn’t expect much more froM this

Still been a bit meh this winter, decent temps IE average or less.

lots of potential that hasn't really gone any where.

the best fall where i am was the 3cm we got from rain to snow even, this melted within 2 hours!

Had a few flakes - pretty to look at but the type where it would have to snow for about 2 years for it to stick hah. The radar is interesting though you can quite clearly see a weak centre of low pressure in the north of cardigan bay just south of the Llŷn Peninsula in NW wales with all the showers circulating around it.

Just cloudy here but at least it is keeping the snow cover here for today. I can see the clear skies to my north.

Just been for a walk and there are a few flakes in the wind.

Nothing remotely disruptive.

Just a few flakes in the breeze we may see some heavier stuff but it’s been a case of so near yet so far today sadly Midlands mid Staffs southwards, London & SE did very well today 3-5cm quite widely.  6th day of falling & accumulating snow though that for the Cheshire plain ain’t half bad at all. Here’s hoping Feb- early March delivers at least one more event before eyes turn to Spring ❄️⛄️

image.thumb.png.c0daf67bdea61b53ce785c0f1dcefdaf.pngPredictive radar showing it getting slightly further - whether it will be correct though and probs not taking into account that its decaying, will have to see.

The front is decaying fast as shown by the radar. Nothing here for the past hour at least despite being right under the ppn shown on the radar.

Brightest conditions of the day here now, not full sunshine but a lighter coloured grey cloud.

Light snow again - tiniest little flakes. Slightly more intense than earlier but in this context meaningless for settling snow. Just nice to watch.

When will it be the NW time to have frontal snow not just scraps of showers off the Irish Sea?  ☹️

Just been out for a walk; gorgeous out there. Cold, cloudy but very much a winters day...

Back in; fire roaring and time to pop the shin beef stew back on to cook (went in at 8am this morning and just turned the oven off for 2 hours whilst we've been out walking) ??

Stood in the middle of the shallow part of the river to take this shot too

Sliders go underneath.

Beast from the East doesn’t reach

NW showers never cold enough or heavy enough for more than 2-3cm if your are lucky to catch one.

I’ve seen more Unicorns than Polar Lows
