Wow, just got home from doing mums shopping, stuck on an incline with only my back end moving sideways.  Managed to pull in a side road.  Daughter whose car has decent traction came out with hubby to rescue me. Traffic was at a standstill for a while.  Took a couple of photos whilst I waited for my big rescue.

Glad you're alright. I suspect more accidents will occur in the next few days. The south could get a battering tomorrow

There is a trough coming through later about 16:00–18:00 but probably won’t settle west of M6.

looks quite likely now that tomorrow is precip will not reach us.

Should do if it comes after dark. Temps aren’t productive to settling snow at the moment but it’s still doing it.

What’s your temp and DP? Feels mild outside.

Yes, thanks I'm fine, was scary at the time, hubbys managed to bring the car home, although I avoided a bump, my confidence took a knock.  Still love the snow though.

METO says no Other models show it reaching the very far south of the region.

Well that's unexpected having went to bed a little past 3am after the early morning snow showers didn't produce much, only to just wake up a little past 11:30am and seeing that 5cm has fallen over the past few hours with more on the way. Cat & Fiddle is currently closed although most other main routes in the peaks are currently holding well.
