Surprisingly, there’s about 2-3cm on the road outside here. Shower has stopped now though. Drip drip drip

We have a covering of snow here in Audenshaw, east Manchester. But it's nowhere near as much as Wednesday night.

Just FaceTimed my parents who live in north Wales (just) and it has been snowing for over an hour there but they have much less snow cover than we do after that first 20 min shower, and I can see more heading our way on the radar.

It looks like we are at the end of this shower but it put about 3cm down in an hour so not a bad effort and looking at the radar it has a few mates on their way across Lancashire so maybe more to come.

this winter is turning into quite a strange one up here in that I have to go back many years, probably 2009-10 to see more separate cases of snow falling but we still haven’t had what I would call a decent fall, probably due to everything so far being shower rather than frontal based.

Snow has turned to grapple which is odd.

Massive contrasts between Pensby and Heswall which are about a mile apart IMG_20210123_093022.thumb.jpg.14db01527dc5ef08a6f5477858a04e3f.jpg

Grapple not snow now. A little disappointing.
