Ok now I’m really amazed! The size of the flakes and the rate!

Can't really work out the radar, moderate snow.

I think there might be energy feeding from that big red blob at the back the radar hasn't cottoned on to, consistently heavier than the radar is saying it should be for the last 10-20 minutes,

Turning sleety here as the heavier stuff arrives again. All be gone in all areas tomorrow anyway with day time temps approaching 6C. Nice whilst it lasted.

That’s it now. Maritime coming. Oh well was good while it lasted. 3 cm. About the best I could’ve hoped for for my location

It was always going to be a transient event but even so, seeing some of the videos tonight, if I was under that snow I would not give a stuff it was transient,  stunning scenes.

Still snowing nicely so it might be gone by tomorrow but so what an event to remember about 7-8cm at the airport

Thinking some parts of the NW have probably had the most number of snowfall events since winter 12-13, and we are only at the 20th Jan and a good 2 months still to go, statistically as well 20 Jan - 20 Mar far more likely to bring snowfall than 20 Nov- 20 Jan despite the longer days and strengthening sun.

Been a great night here. Have a few inches of snow cover ...what an interesting day of weather it's been with the crazy rain fall and now the snow fall.

Snow has picked up intensity here again, but think these are the last scraps coming through now so calling it a night. Decent fall here with around 6cm in the end.  More snow potential to look forward to over the next few days. Hopefully those who have missed out can get in on the action.

Very decent event here in S Cheshire with still some light- moderate snow falling. 6-7cm so slightly more than the 29th Dec event all be it much wetter snow.
