Frontal/trough feature set to move through tomorrow evening and night, may not have much left on it, but could give another light cover again..

Looking to the new week, hardly a warm up, maxes of 6-7 degrees for here then colder again, further north east the mild air not really making it.

Tuesday looking a cold raw bleak day, low single digits Monday and Tuesday.

Proper winter weather. This is good.

Front has our name on it. Can’t see why not.

This front is gonna hit all of England. Lancaster North - all of the South. A Centimetre most places. Ten in favoured high spots.

(high)Cloud has been streaming into the region all evening, to be honest, it may not be all that bad of a thing the temperature is not too low as that increases the chance of PPN reaching the ground?

Wouldn’t get too low here anyway. But it’s above freezing now which I didn’t want haha.

Might get the weaker arm of the front to the north. Don’t see how it could completely miss now. Models still haven’t got a clue where it’s going...

Won't get any further N than its pivot point which appears to be just off Anglesey. Which means Wirral across to mid Cheshire is probably absolute N extent

Unsure. Pinks from the front now encroaching to the Fylde coast. Interesting to hear any reports from Wirral.

ICON looks the most favourable model for snow prospects for the south of the region

Even that is out as you can see by the 7am chart, that doesn't even show the heavy blob that is across the North Wales coastal area, still has it just coming into Anglesey, looks like it is moving through quicker than the models are showing

ECM 0z has it largely  dry at 6am for North Wales coast

and clips the south of the region at midday

Whether it reaches the region or not may be somewhat academic as we will be right on the Northern edge and so I suspect anything we see will be light and patchy. I'd love to eat these words of course!

It shouldn't matter, whatever falls should stick around. I'd take half a cm all day long if it stays on the ground.

METO going for four hours of heavy snow for us from ten am-yes it’s about automated model and probably wrong BUT for it to even show that for here is a rarity so shows the potential for other areas close by that do get it

Odd. Some quite hefty Radar returns incoming.

Bangor - Anglesey looked in sweet spot.

Come on folks. You know those automated apps/forecasts are junk.

You have a ‘live’ radar to look at.

I wish all the folks in the Merseyside area good luck. Looks like a day of watching my phone to the annoyance of the Mrs.

Best bet is probably not to look at the radar on a day like this, if you see start seeing something fall from the sky then look at the radar, lol.
