Ok i got pretty bored of January this year, but this has to be one of the most interesting weather events.

Reduction in the eastward extent? Wonder if that means the front will pivot more and be slower to move away east?

HAHAHAHA this is great, so unexpected, from hosing down all day to this, even the puddles are covered now.

Just checked my CCTV, the snow started at 8:40. Its been an hour and we've got 5cm already! More than any other day this winter

Still heavy snow here even though the radar shows less intensity.

it took a while for it to properly stick but there approaching 2 inches of snow on the ground now so not a bad effort and maybe more to one as the night goes on.

as far as intensity goes, easily the heaviest snow of the winter so far.

Last nights AN26B cargo plane was UR-CQE.  Its not logging any flights on Radar 24 but was confirmed in and out of Liverpool last night.

This plane wass not fitted with alloys so was able to sucessfully complete the return flight to where ever.

Looking at the pictures above those of us in this part of the NW may as well be on another planet. Amazing the difference even a couple of miles can make.

Yep coastal areas did not really had much of a chance, the flow just did not really go off shore.

Great seeing the snowy scenes but the winds are coming in off the irish sea for all parts eventually so make the most of the snow cover!

Radar just killed all the heavier PPN before it got this far north, looks like 1-2cm is going to be it.

 

Still light snow though, shame.
