Bingo - The worm has turned and we have sleet/wet snow now after the deluge of rain.  Still lots of precip. on the radar so might be a good spell to wave Storm Christoph on his way.

West of M6 yes although precip may have cleared by then depends on when the westerly wind kicks in.

Heavy snow everywhere turning white - what a transition!!!  ❄️ ⛄️

What a lovely surprise this evening is turning out to be... So glad lots are seeing snow.

I've been away for a few days (From the charts etc) so didn't see this coming.  Noticed on the BBC some white speckles so thought I would check in...a few days ago nothing to, what could be, a few hours of snow! Heavy stuff too!!

For me, I have never seen it turn from pure rain (as my lounge is in the attic and has velux windows so can see every drop! haha) to what is now, heavy snow sticking everywhere!

Dare I say it but I think we are witnesses to quite a historic event here...

Seems a bit early to call that. So far got just about (quite a wet) covering here with it having turned snowy around 7 to 7.30. Decent elevation (200m)

It would need to get a lot heavier or last well into tomorrow morning/afternoon to come close to historic (bearing in mind we had 4-5 inches of snow here only a few weeks back in that last cold snap)

Heavy snow here with large flakes. It's sticking too. Very nice.

I haven’t seen locally such a quick transition in many years usually it’s the other way round. Crewe also getting a pasting! ❄️ Should pick up 2-5cm overnight although will be perhaps a more slushy temporary covering the further west and low down you go.
