Still heavy snow and ice pellets/snow grains. Seems to be sticking on bins and fences at least. 0.6°C.

0.7C had wet snow but I don't think I will see accumulations this time from this.

Looking at the radar, Kasim's precipitation shadow looks further west or at least there is a drier area running from Liverpool to Preston

Heavy snow now, with smallish flakes, covering in tracks left by passing car. Beautiful!

Radar is showing ppn waxing and waning . There was a 'hole' heading for us which then filled and intensified on the next frame.

I think it's fair to say the M6 snow barrier has been well and truly smashed during this cold spell lol!

Looks like some parts of Yorkshire are doing even worse going off a couple of posts, looks even more marginal there. Snow at Halewood and rain reported from Leeds

Curiosity got the better of me, woe up looks like we have had one heavy shower and a very slight dusting, it shows we are under light ppn but nothing falling. Might as well go back to bed before work.

Well I'd say this has now been without doubt a memorable cold spell for these parts and probably just about as good as it could realistically be, barring an exceptional event. Will try to venture out later and get some pictures, during my permitted exercise of course...

A couple cm of fresh snow and still snowing lightly but unless it backfill’s I looks like it will be clearing through from here shortly.

nice to see though and yet another day of falling snow to add onto this winters total.

With apprehension I opened the curtains this morning. Pleasantly surprised we have about an inch so far

Absolutely mortified, dumbfounded and perplexed as to the fact that it is raining here in my location. The radar said snow, the forecast said snow and even the nowcast says snow. I am genuinely starting to wonder if it is just me - another in the many long list of ‘missed out events.’ I am stating to take it personally... especially after least years fiasco and the one the year before that. Quite sickening that the last time I saw more than 2cm of snowfall in a location I lived was over a decade ago. Lost for words.

You must be in Salwick.
