bizarrely  Liverpool ATIS appears not to be broadcasting but looks like the wind has turned more southerly so temperatures are a bit lower.

Look quiet heavy up there?

Got lucky with an early shower.

I said 2CM but someone rode past on a bike leaving the indent and it is more like 4cm

Nothing of note had fallen here yet  bit too far north east of where the showers are lining up.  A few days ago the snow dropping down from Scotland was looking decent for us overnight but latest forecast has it in a very weakened state and also a sleety/rain mix.  Will need to look to 2021 to  see anything more substantial on the horizon.

Lol.

Ive had a quick look at the GFS. Will post some charts up.

Anyone else starting to see some sort of 'organisation'  to the showers, like a band? swirl? If you zoom out to just the North West and look at the last hour or two frames.

Impossibly light snow currently falling giving a sugary coating. I thought it had stopped but I went out and realised the flakes were just almost too small to see!

Yes - looks like the Cheshire Gap effect is firing up N Cheshire/ South Manchester look well placed although think us further south will still see something from it.

It's like it's moving south? The instability?

I see that, the shower over Preston was heading ESE and now more SE

I'm on the computer so use the MetO rainfall but you can see the showers dry up in Cumbria through the rainfall time window, like the instability is moving away.

Snow has just started again but looks like the main part of the shower will miss
