Torrential deluge passed through Bridlington where visibility was reduced to 30 metres.

Thankfully it is over now as we need some sunshine to dry the ground a little before it gets dark !

Very interesting weather this morning, from heavy rain to clear blue sky very quickly.

I've recorded 20.8mm in 24h so quite a lot. Agree should have been yellow warning this morning. Cleared later than forecast as well

Glad we're back to GMT now and the interesting half of the year for me. Bring on autumn and winter ❄️

Air frost in Dalby Forest shortly after midnight with a low of -0.3c.

Nearly an inch of rainfall across parts this morning and now clear blue skies, cant say our weather is boring eh?

We had the deluge here lasted about 5 mins at peak intensity, there is a problem with a blocked sewer at the bottom of the village, during yesterday's deluge people were seeing things floating they hoped they would never see again, Yorkshire Water were cleaning up and sorting, hope there hasn't been a repetition.

Lovely clear skies on a cold still evening, currently 4.5c on the Wolds, log burner ticking away nicely,

There would be a North sea 'bite' at Whitby this morning me thinks,

8c with some N sea driven showers intermittently popping by, sporadic but briefly intense at times!

Much the same today, plentiful showers at the coast driven by a 30mph Northerly to North Westerly wind. Wind chill meant it feels colder than the 9c that the thermometer was showing. Lunchtime bike ride was hard work, cycling into the wind was horrid, and then buffeted about in cross winds. Arrived home wet and muddy as they are spud planting on the fields round our way, and there's been enough rain to create a nice mud bath, but not enough to wash it away.

Quite a pleasant day out today, a few clouds about but plenty of sunshine, makes a change from the North sea showers of the past few days!

Now the rain has arrived and the wind has picked up noticeably, good excuse to put my feet up and watch the Rugby,

We've been in Sheffield today, on the train coming back now and it looks very grey and wet over the Wolds and it's raining in Brough. Clearer looking to the south. Apart from 1 shower fine in Sheffield up until we left at 2pm.

A good gusty wind about this evening, whilst dry and not too cold, the leaves are getting shaken from the trees in the village, now carpeting the paths,

Temperatures set to start dropping at the end of the weekend to something more seasonable, then from next Thursday and into the following weekend that’s when ( Judging by the current models) the weather takes an interesting turn to even colder things with the pots of ❄️ We will see

Indeed, we shall see, let's see how the models fair over the weekend but change is definitely afoot, a snowy end to the month would be a pleasant change from the current 'Meh'

Just got back from my lunchtime bike ride. Sunny, blue sky, 13C BUT a nagging wind, 30mph+, force 6-7 WSW. Was very challenging for the first 3 miles as it was a direct headwind, coming back was easy though.

Yeh that sort of didn't get mentioned in the forecast. Forecasts lately have been very poor and poor again today. Still saying it's cloudy but there have been plenty of sunny spells this week.

Sadly the cold spell next week now looks like a normal temperatures with the real cold pushed further back into lala land. Normally when this happens the models flip back to mild nearer the time.

I'm looking towards a new record for November in the driest or 2nd driest on record possibly.

We;; the 19 th out of 20 days with a max of > 10 C. Probably the last double digit max this month? Actual Max was 12.4 C with sunny spells, even then in the breeze it did not feel 'warm' Tomorrow will be a shock an afternoon values perhaps 7C with a wind chill taking it a bit below 0C!
