Well the rain has arrived, its pretty heavy now, will give the garden a good soaking!

Same here, first really wet lunchtime bike ride for quite a while, even with waterproofs on got wet. Looks grey and set in for the day, wind light easterly when I was out but almost calm and variable now. Radar shows a big splodge of increasingly heavy rain moving in.

It does look set in for a few hours yet, our car park has its usual 2 inch of standing water,

A contrast between the two days. Today cloudy mostly just had a spell of light rain which has now stopped. No idea why we got a warning still in force as the front is very weak and the warning for our area needed removing first thing this morning.

A stiff south-westerly wind at lunchtime, sun out, pleasent out of the breeze. 3 miles of my lunchtime bike ride runs NE - SW so a head wind out and tail wind back, first time for a while. What has struck me this year is the lack of westerlies. I am not sure if its a blip or part of wider changes

The breeze definitely took the warm edge off today, cooled off quickly this evening as well, but not cold by any means,

We still haven't dropped below 10.2C this month so far. There's never been a September here with a low above 8.9C so depending on the last few days it may be a new record.

After a bright start to the day, it soon clouded over, although it remained mild enough to sit in the garden and enjoy the fresh air!
