The Evening has deffinatley been the best part of the day, although breezy there was plenty of warmth in the evening sun,

Pleasant day today, reached 23c, bit cloudy at times but can't complain, still mild enough this evening to be in a t-shirt outside,

Agreed, although i would suggest this evening is a slight upgrade on yesterday eve in terms of temperature, still sat in the garden at 10pm in shorts n a t-shirt,

We went to Scarborough this morning before heading back to Cheshire. A lovely morning and good to see so many people enjoying themselves after the year we've just had! Pity about the journey home, with the M6 closed near Warrington for much of the day and resulting congestion all around Manchester and all points south and west. Mrs FLT was not amused!

Back on the N Yorkshire coast and considerably better here than in Cheshire this morning. Sun has been out since I arrived mid-afternoon and, despite a cool wind, it was warm enough to sit out until 7pm. Sadly, it seems that it is not to last with some rain tomorrow morning, barely clearing later into a mix of cloud and gloom.

Been quite a pleasant day round these parts, bright sunshine this afternoon, topping out at 22c, breeze picked up a bit this evening, but still mild, no complaints,

A dry day apart from a spot or two of nuisance rain on the tops of the moors, and turned out bright and warm enough on the coast this afternoon to sit outside for a while. Returning to the North West this evening for 10 days and not so good there by all accounts on the NW Regional page. Oh dear!

Well the torrents of forecast rain haven't materialised and the radar suggest more likely any rainfall will mostly be light this afternoon. Odd have increased a lot for a dry August for here now.

Copious amounts of rain this evening, welcome relief for gardeners, whilst stopping harvest in its tracks,

Lovely afternoon now on the Yorkshire Wolds, plenty of warmth in the sunshine, rather pleasant

Glorious day round these parts today, clear blue sky and some proper heat in the sun,

BBC News had a piece from a sunny and warm Scarborough which was good to see. Sadly, it appears that it's not going to last, with cloud setting in tomorrow + a brisk N wind, just as I return to the N Yorkshire coast for a few days. At least it should stay dry.

Round here tonight is humming with sound of Combine harvesters going flat out, it would seem moisture levels are still low after a warm dry day, harvest in full swing!

A contrast to yesterday is an understatement, grey clag today, although a dry and usable day it became chilly this evening, so dropped some brash on the log burner and gave it a warm up,

What an awful day on the NY coast, given that we've got high pressure overhead. Non-stop misty drizzle and not v warm. I got inland for a short while and quite a contrast, dry and glimpses of the sun. Typical bl**dy Bank Holiday, the last before Christmas!

Another v poor day on the NY coast although, surprisingly, the cloud has cleared this evening as the sun has gone down. Dry inland but caught in a cloudburst on the moors on my way back into Whitby late afternoon. So much for the high pressure which is still over us! Interesting in view of the late cloud clearance to see what tomorrow produces.

A slightly better day today with little or no rain either on the coast or inland. Still a strong wind on the coast making it seem more raw than it probably is. Latest forecast has SE winds moving in from the weekend which should result in warmer conditions on the coast, but will it lead to more sun or a switch to sea mist / fret on the NE coast? I'm off back home tomorrow and will be interested to see from Cheshire.
