Looking at latest radar I can't see this Snow lasting all morning as some predicted, couple of more hours at most is my guess unless front comes to a grinding halt which is unlikely.

Doesn't need to if the intensity of that next band keeps up - it has the potential to dump a lot of snow in a short space of time. I agree with @Danns that it could be this back edge of the band that prompted the amber warning. The hills will be getting absolutely plastered!

Yes we are! Will be interesting to see the drifting in a bit, glad I have my 4x4 car with winter tyres on in winter up here.

If the intense stuff stays around for anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour, we have got to be looking at another 2cms maybe more in sweet spots. That’s what will do the damage. Seem loads of people presumably set off early to work, in what I would call questionable means of transport. Might get stung by that decision. The 4x4 will help me out this morning.

Well I'm up and staying up now haha. Let's see what the last heavy bit does....

I'd say over an inch or 2 here at the mo

There must be drifting happening in exposed areas as the wind is really whistling past my house and snowing sideways.

I use Yr.no a lot. If I'm not mistaken these show the disturbance that I feel will have move s/se and fill near the Nederlands. Oragraphic snowfall for East of the pennines on Sunday.

Snow coming down thick and fast here in Chesterfield. We’re right on southern edge of snow line so I expect it will turn to rain soon.

For the first time this winter, I think I can call what is falling outside snow (rather than the sleety nonsense we've been plagued with!). 30m ASL and about 2 miles south SW of Scarborough. Not laying mind you and I don't have a huge hope for the main band later, so I suspect we'll have to continue to see if this Easterly brings us any luck

I'd have to call this a blizzard here at the mo, it's pretty gusty and snow is blowing all over the place. Defo coming down at an angle under the lights

As expected, another fail here. It did turn to sleet for a while when it was heavier, but that was it.

Still no snow this winter, hopefully this weekend's snow makes it to T+0.
