For those looking for snow in West Yorkshire, it’s coming.

Just over the border in Lancashire and we’re getting a decent covering now, even after all of today’s rain and it’s still snowing hard.

8.8C degrees here and light rain. Looks good at Crewe station and the camera operator caught a bunny rabbit jumping around in it.

Wonder if we'll get a last minute snow warning. Seems to be coming down to all levels, so will catch quite a few out!

Everyone seems to have missed this but the amber warning is a rain and snow warning.

Rain associated with Storm Christoph will persist for the rest of Wednesday and into early Thursday, with some more intense rainfall possible before it clears. A further 20-30 mm is likely widely, with more than 60 mm over some higher ground areas - bringing totals since Tuesday into the range of 100 - 200 mm over some hills. Rain may temporarily turn to heavy, wet snow as it clears, leading to a cover of 1-4 cm in places, possibly more on high ground. Strong winds will accompany the rain at times and may add to travelling difficulties across higher and more exposed routes.

Fair enough I guess. Just seems to be a bit more widespread in the latest reports was my thinking

There's no question it's going to change over to snow in the areas already mentioned but the big concern is how long will the precipitation last?

I just cant see it lasting long enough for any medium-big totals. Will probably be just be more of a novalty event seeing it hammer down with snow for a short time lol..

Still some could wake up to a little covering.
