Looks like these showers are going to hit east of Doncaster for South Yorkshire

Yeah I've been looking at that too, building nicely between Leeds and York!

This should explode just like the bigger area of precipitation to the north of it

Flurry of snow in Garforth (all snow, dry and powdery from the start) but a nightmare gap has now appeared in the first band! What a world!

Surely this underestimated energy in the atmosphere will change the expectations now for the shower activity next week!!!

A dusting before it eased off. Not surprising as the ground is frozen solid with some snow left from during the week.

I have to say looking west at the clouds heading away from me, that first band (or this section of it) is dying. Looks good for further north and south of here perhaps. My eyes are on the second lot near the coast!

a lovely light covering here ......... more to come ......( just hope that it wont be too marginal as we are at relatively low altitude and 20 miles from the coast

Heads up from around me (Garforth) down to Wakefield. It's looking very threatening and dark and the radar shows some intensification!

Damn it I'm about a mile too far north for this... Keep getting the odd heavier bit like this while looking south is obscured in the snow!
